How the setup planner works
The planner starts with the job, because the right setup depends on what the account has to do. You tick the jobs, describe the account’s age and recent activity, and say which basics are already in place. The worksheet then prints a checklist: a foundation every account needs, followed by a section for each job you chose. Done items are ticked, missing basics are marked with a cross, and the steps that depend on how you work are marked to review.
Why the foundation comes first
Whether you sell, reach out, join groups or advertise, people and Facebook’s systems look at the same things first: a real photo, a clear intro, a secure login and an account in good standing. Skipping the foundation and going straight to heavy selling or outreach is the most common reason accounts are limited. Facebook explains the security side in its guide to two-factor authentication.
New and quiet accounts
If your account is new, or has been quiet for months, the planner adds a step to build up normal activity before doing more. An account that goes from silent to busy overnight looks unusual, whatever the reason. A few weeks of ordinary use makes everything that follows easier.
Using the checklist
Work through the list from top to bottom and tick items off as you go. Run the planner again later if the account takes on a new job, such as running ads, and you will see what to add. Each line is something you can do yourself on your own account; none of them needs anyone else’s login.
Questions about this worksheet
Is the checklist specific to my account?
It is specific to the jobs and facts you enter. It cannot see your real account, so treat it as a plan to follow and check, not a diagnosis.
Can I use the planner for my team’s accounts?
Yes. Run it once for each person, since every team member should use their own real account and the starting point is often different.
Does it tell me which paid setup I need?
It focuses on what to do. The matching setup is shown below the worksheet if you would rather work through the checklist with us.
